Open Cell Foam Insulation

R3.6 per inch thickness. Density  1/2 lb./ft.³ 

Open Cell Foam insulation is a lighter density foam. This does not act as an air barrier so a vapour barrier is necessary. The main advantage over batt type insulation is that it fills the cavity completely and is not subject to compression  leaving gaps.
